We're debating the organizational chaos of willful illiterates. Typos are just one of many obvious symptoms.

I'm with the majority on this one. This is not a case of dropping an occasional or accidental typo. What we are discussing is nothing short of linguistic malpractice, it's indicative of gross incompetence, and a functional and organizational breakdown of a high order. It's occurring in a context where it matters, and it's not getting better over time.

We should be so lucky as to be unpresidented.

PS - Why George specifically? What is it that I don't know about her?

If you are a Professional in Communications, Media or Journalism such mistakes are unforgivable.

I am, as an IT Manager, allowed to make the occasional grammatical or spelling error although it is frowned upon.

(Spelling and grammar do get tougher once you become multi-lingual)

Most of my fellow computer programmers are the worst fucking spellers in the history of people with advanced degrees.  Even the women.

Brilliant. Everyone needs a blue penciled editor.

I can usually pick out my own errors after the fact but on deadline, I cannae do it on my best day. Too many dialects, dead languages and white noise static rattling around.
