At least the homeowner didn't break out the Raid and was spot-on vis-à-vis his "all natural" statement on the 70# they received.
FYI: Honey & olive oil = most counterfeited foods.
Funny, just last night, I was coaxing a swarm into a new hive for a friend who was out of town.
They are amazing little critters.
We keep six hives of our own. Found out I was allergic when my "bee karma" wore off one day.
Previously, never wore a suit working the hives.
Anaphylactic shock will get your attention.
Insurance Policy: No holes in the bee suit, handful of Benadryl and an expired epi-pen.

The price sounds like a bargain to me.
Mad Honey
This hallucinogenic honey can sell for over $60 a pound on the black market.
When bees feed on the pollen of rhododendron flowers, the resulting honey can pack a hallucinogenic punch.
It’s called mad honey, and it has a slightly bitter taste and a reddish color. More notably, a few types of rhododendrons, among them Rhododendron luteum and Rhododendron ponticum, contain grayanotoxin, which can cause dramatic physiological reactions in humans and animals. Depending on how much a person consumes, reactions can range from hallucinations and a slower heartbeat to temporary paralysis and unconsciousness...

You use old school Langstroth's, or one of them new fangled plastic honey flows?
