Yeah, I'm sure all the first hand stories showing up in social media are just Russian media bots and click farms, diligently plugging away to undermine the very bedrock of Mom, America and apple pie: exploiting the working class.

Many jobs require pissing in a bottle...consider oneself lucky to have both.

A job and a bottle?

I do not speak Jet as a native language, but venturing a guess, I think he means you schlubs should be more grateful that you even
have a pot to piss in.

Ten hours a day, four days a week in an air-conditioned warehouse. 50 cent raise every six months plus incentive bonuses for actually turning up for work every day and being productive. I would have jumped at a job like this 35 years ago before I got programming skills.
We have a bazillion warehouses in America, most of them seemingly in the Dallas area, and I can assure you that the working conditions and pay in most non-Amazon warehouses look positively draconian when compared with Amazon.

Not exactly "on topic" but we were watching television around 6:00 pm when the UPS that powers the entire media center went 'piff'. No big deal, I thought, I'll order a new one two-day from Amazon, hopefully I'll get it in one day if the fulfillment center has it in stock. At the top of the page for the UPS I wanted it said "get it in two hours via Prime Now". I checked it out and for a $14.00 tip to the delivery person I could, indeed, get it in two hours. I placed the order about 7:10 with an 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm delivery window. At 8:10 pm the UPS was at my door. The email link let me follow the delivery on a web page from the moment they left the distribution center.
Until they develop non-organic material transporters, I'm not sure how you could get it much faster than that. It's nice to live in a small town that's right next to a huge fucking city.
