Best to give Maine a wide berth. That said, I do recommend the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association Common Ground Fair. A well attended event. And if you look around the local county there that week you can find a sufficiently smack ass demolition derby down in a back hollow.
For high culture there is, of course, the Internet Cat Video Festival.
And it has been said there are still one or two old barns with discarded odds and ends in them. Like this old clunker a colleague dug out.
