Sadly, I believe it actually has begun. It is feeling all 1858 again:
We have had Fascist marching in our streets in Oregon for quite awhile. Sadly, but not surprisingly the local Gendarme is crawling with sympathizers/participants in this clusterfuck. Case in point: During a demonstration earlier this year, the Police/Nannies found 3 ProudBoys setting up a sniper station on the roof of a parking structure overlooking a demonstration/mini riot that they had instigated. What did our brave boys in Blue, do? "Hey fella's you can't do that, now put your rifles in your car trunk and join the nice demonstration." Imagine if it had been my kid and his Antifa friends (he is not Antifa, but chums with many of them). They would be dead, wounded or beaten/arrested if lucky.
Seeing the same pattern in reporting about the military and its allegiance. Heavy duty support for 45, constitution, not so much. Disturbing.
I visit far right sites, and drums are being beaten. Remember this post.
What a weird juncture.

We are living in a "Brave New World", nobody has time for a civil war or public uprising. After all Timmy has soccer practice, the wife has a hair appointment and I refuse to miss the play-off game on the TV; what could possibly be important than those things?
