Spanish is the top everywhere so they filtered it out for this. But this is a bit dishonest, Much of what the Irish say around Boston is quite clearly not English. And what is up with all the Germans in South Carolina

A case maybe of misleading stats. In the wondrous state of Arkansas, less than 2% of the population is Asian. Could be that the late comers are more likely to speak their native language at home. The rest of the population speak their native language at home too.

The Arkansas effects are mostly due to immigrant labor in the chicken and other meat processing industries. Whole hidden towns around the chicken plants where no English is spoken.
