I couldn't figure out why I adored this image until I realized just now I know EXACTLY where it is. The photo was expertly shopped but that carousel still exists at Roger Williams Park, abutting the Cranston, Providence, Rhode Island city line.
Here's the kicker: I rode that ride 51 years ago, as an infant. I have other pictures of it here somewhere. It was built in 1892.

I swear I grifted this shot from the site formerly known as "Cruel," and seemed an appropriate housewarming pic to High-Street. Glad I could provide a bit of serendipity! By the way, I am already seeing the best of Cruel being exhibited here (e.g., hit counts, who's on-line, active links, SEARCH FUNCTION, etc.) Thanks again...

I have to agree...this feels like a bit of Cruel Afterbirth.
Perhaps that's what Rogers should call this. Cruel's Bitter Afterbirth.
