You'd think with her squinty fuckin' eyes, the queen of anchor babies would notice the pattern is paisley, not checked, as is the case with most all proper kaffiyehs.

The Subway nearest my school is run by a mom of one of our Kindergartners, and one of its staffers is another K parent.  In the past former students from my school have greeted me there, and even though English comprehension temporarily slips when they have new hires, they treat me and other regulars quite well.  Whenever they've goofed on a sandwich of mine, I get it gratis, and they'll upgrade me for free most of the time, too.  It pays to be the teacher of their kids, and the gabacho que habla en espanol...treat hard-working people with decency and respect, and you get the same back.  Now, if only my wife's district administration could figure that out, they might not be facing takeover by the state...

What is interesting here is that in this case she has been mum on her sites with updates. About 40% of her regulars said she was making much ado about nothing as it was not a keffiyeh. Though she certainly is willing to make hay for her part in whipping up the non issue with the media.
