A bean-processing Texas town of 5,100 souls (and 30 churches!) was home to a bustling swingers' club with a youth program.
(I don't know what "bean processing" entails, but for me it would be Reason #2 not to relocate to Mineola.)

White people abuse children? Surely, you jest.

Any youth outreach for a hobby club should stress safety as any hobby
(guns, skiing, aviation, whatever) has risks. I hope “bean processing” is an alternative energy technology that will reduce our dependence on imported natural gas.

Scary, just a couple of hours east of Dallas. I can't remember the exact quote from a Sherlock Holmes story, but they're on the train Watson is commenting on how idyllic the farms and countryside are; Holmes says something like, all he can think of is the depravity and suffering that's going on behind those peaceful walls.

"Silly Pills" is at least a little less creepy than "Jesus Juice".

Oh, I dunno. I mean, the kids are doing fine now, right? No harm, no foul, eh?
(Oh, but if someone could please see fit to castrate and/or nullify every adult involved, and then slowly peel off their skin whilst applying salt - all without the benefit of pain meds - that would be nice.)

Thad Davidson, Kelly's attorney, said his client passed a lie-detector test proving his innocence and worries about getting a fair trial in Tyler, 25 miles southeast of Mineola, which is in Wood County.
Georgi, this whole mess sounds very familiar. Didn't a bunch of bible thumpers collude the DA to convict half of a Texas town for bogus charges around a day care center a few years ago?

I would be the first to say hang em high if they did what they are accused of. But I too wonder about the facts in this case. 4 years ago the local began publishing cryptic warnings to try to run em out of town.
In August 2004, an editorial under the headline "Sex In the City" opined that if the swingers left quietly, "we'll try and forget they've infiltrated our town with their set of moral standards."

The McMartin Preschool case happened right here in "progressive" California. This was textbook case about what can happen when a town goes on a witch hunt. I still recall that somewhere in Texas or maybe Arizona? New Mexico?, there was a case where the DA went nuts on one of these preschool cases and accused everyone, including the Police Cheif of child molestation. He had innocent people sentenced to life in prison. Finally, someone stood back and asked WTF is going on here.

Around the same time was another case in San Jose where a mentally troubled girl accused her father of abusing his daughters. He was convicted and after 7 or so years was able to get it overturned on appeal. That case led to the discreditation of an entire field of psychology, regressive memory recall, as reliable eveidence and basis for expert testimony.

Oops looks like they are going to have to delay the trial because a key prosecution witness, the foster parents one of the children were placed with, has been accused in another molestation case.
I just heard one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen on the news. CNN played audiotape from the previous trial of the kids testifying about their abuse.
It is not what they decribed though that is so horrifying, bad as that is, it is that the tape was released to the news media. How in the world could the state of Texas allow such a thing to be done to a child. Every one responsible for such a thing should be fired and disbarred if not put in jail.

These cases have become much harder to prosecute, as they should be. Prosecutors now have to rely more on forensic evidence than just the "expert" testimony of some hired gun. If there's any merit to the claims there should be at least some physical evidence to support it.
Of course, this is Texas, where sleeping through your client's capital murder trial isn't sufficient grounds for a new trial.

That's infinitely more funny because when you let the page load, the title at the top of the browser says "Japanwoodwoker."
