Since the migration to High-Street, we have:
- An easy-to-read tabular format
- A working search function
- Archives to search (in their formative stages, it is true)
- A working edit function
And reads counts I haven't seen since early 2006.
Kudos, Sofie, Woggah, and/or whoever else is making all this work.

Yeah, there's just no way that rcade could ever have gotten the Cruel site to provide such functionality. I mean, how much did this forum software cost? Must have been in the thousands...

The selectable skins are nice, the search function leaves a bit to be desired, however I understand the Soon To Be Rolled Out New and Improved High-Street has many improved features.

If you click on the "High Street" link at the left of the page, you get the posts in tabular format, as of Cruel yore. There's a column labeled "Views", which gives you the reads count.

Forgive me for a somewhat sweeping statement. My subjective impression is that Cruel reads counts fell off beginning at some point last year, and I know they dropped to sadly amazing lows this year. After the site's final redesign, there were no more reads counts, and it would surprise the sewage out of me if that was a co-inkydink. Also, if you'll think about it, it's been a while since there was any real action this late at night.

If you guys have requests for new features, you should post them soonest. We'll be making modifications to the code soon and it would be better to know what all we want to do ahead of time and can plan accordingly. I hate feature creep.

Make the background black and the font color green. And remove the edit and search functions. Nobody really needs those anyway. And remove the tabular format for viewing threads. In fact, re-do the whole layout to make it more of a blogging style site. If anyone complains tell them it is so that the site will make more money.

I do have ONE, hopefully minor, request: Is there a way to make embedded links more visible? They look just like normal text now, which makes them very easy to miss. Just underlining would do.
