It's already here in Chicago. Maywood, a surburb that was black for most of the 70s and 80s now has a sizable Hispanic population. Other suburbs like Carpentersville and Mundelein have seen a total demographic shift in the last 10 years. Unless one wants to move to Idaho with Fnord, one better get used to and accept the cultural shift.

This has been known for at least the past ten years, if not longer. Are we now catering to Fnord, or do we just want a banner that says "HIGH STREET, LAMENTING THE DEATH OF WHITE SUPREMACY SINCE..."
I imagine that by two thousand whatever the complexion of teh intarwebz will have adjusted accordingly. Godsknow, we will probably have a Latino/non-white majority and there will still be a non-commensurate reflection in Congress. We'll all be IM-ing in Spanglish, or whatever the latest version of Esperanto may be.
We're still witnessing the Final Solution. Immigration reform and restrictions are already aimed toward depleting the presence of the Brown People. Even if, fewer than fifty years from now, we expect a burgeoning Hispanic population, then I'm sure we'll find a way to disenfranchise them, just as we've done with women and darker brown people. It won't stick, but it'll work for a few decades beyond when we expect the situation to arise.

And yet, I just read a Wall Street Journal article about how in Detroit all of the white people are moving back into downtown and it's all the "differently hued" folks who are now complaining of the long train rides to get to their jobs and the bad traffic that keeps a brother down.
