One day at the office I was coming down with a cold and feeling very shitty, and a co-worker gave me one of her Red Bulls, saying it had vitamins and caffeine and sugar, etc. and would make me feel better.  (Those things ain't cheap, and it was very generous and kind of her.)  I managed two swallows--the second swallow was only to confirm the complete and utter awfulness of the stuff--and surreptitiously dumped the rest.

The best description I can manage for the indescribable taste is pixie piss.

What I can't believe is that college kids willingly imbibe mixed drinks made with the stuff.  Gah.

It's putrid. It tastes like someone combined Mountain Dew with Robitussin, a concoction that I would guess has already been tried in its original form. This appeared on my site last year in relation to Britney Spears' latest meltdown:

I also have never tasted it. The hype around caffene based energy drinks put me right off. Look, if I want to be stimulated more than a cup of coffee I will just turn my cold medicine into meth.

So I tested it out, and my  blood was no stickier than usual.  Disclaimer: I drank alcohol with it.  That's what it takes to slice myself open.  Anyway, for the moment all seems normal, by which I mean that shallow cuts result in dripping blood, not sticky syrup.
