I see no proof that those niggers were dumb - except for the "Captain," who sounds like a complete anus.

Not bringing food and water on board?  Blindly trusting some criminal to smuggle them into another country.  Not surviving what should be a one day trip by rowboat, less if done under power.  Didn’t anybody have a cell phone to call for help?  Did the ship have a radio, and if so, couldn’t someone have figured out how to fix it if necessary and use it?  Hell, with a little planning, Polynesians survived long trips at sea in kayaks.  The lack of foresight, intelligence and ingenuity displayed by these idiots is stunning.

Many's the time I've set out in my little craft for a drink at some not-too-distant pub with nothing but my clothes to protect me from the elements, bolstered by my faith in the reliability of the engine. Any one of those times I could have somehow died. And certainly I've gone aboard boats thinking that the captain's assurances of experience and familiarity were good enough to warrant relaxing the usual precautions. Hell - I've done much stupider, much more dangerous things than that, but they have nothing to do with boats so I won't bother to expatiate. And besides, how much more tempting is it to trust when you're poor and desperate. These are people who have little to lose, taking a desperate all-or-nothing gamble, a flip of the coin...a fuck it then, just go for it.... In the face of close odds, it's often the intelligent mind that takes the biggest gamble.

These people weren’t going for a joyride in a friend’s boat.  They were going on a life-altering journey without provisions and without doing a little investigation or proper pre-planning.

Fine. I can tell I'm not winning this one, so I'll change direction.
What those nignogs are doing is illegal, and the fact that they have nothing with them points to a high level of planning and awareness. Provisions are evidence, as would be luggage. They are no doubt under strict instructions to avoid attracting heat. Then, if they get stopped by a patrol, they can yell out en masse: "We be out just for see de oshun, Admiral. Den dis guy drop de compass ovahbode an we gets loss. Now we sad, an needs to fine our way bak home!" Clever darkies, n'est-ce pas?

I see this as Darwinism in action.  Good thing they brought enough of the weak so the strong would survive.

HKG, the evolutionary consequences of misadventure may as easily tend to the negative as the positive. Imagine a tribe of hunters - one day in late autumn they get caught in a heavy fog, which turns to snow, they get lost on the side of a mountain and die. Perhaps they should have been better prepared, but does that mean that their deaths have weeded out the weak and stupid? No - their deaths deprive the tribe of its prime source of food, defense, and the flower of its genetic offering. Not every stupid or inept action that leads to death offers an advantage to the gene pool, and to pretend that it does romanticizes the pointless brutality of nature and life.

It was tongue-in-cheek...you've been battling with Ptah so long that you're losing your sense of perspective.

Good god...you're right...I was judging you by the same standards. A thousand apologies.

Hmm, it doesn't seem to be working in the preview.  Try this:  "Idiocracy."

Well can you really blame them for leaving the provisions behind? Everyone in that part of the world knows that mud cookies get soggy after just one day at sea.
