A group of about 60 cat lovers gathered at the Manhattan headquarters of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today to denounce the rounding up of feral cats that live in a colony deep in the secured cargo areas of Kennedy International Airport... (source)

Y'kno, I think they should be allowed...nay, forced...to "rescue" every last one of those stinking little beasts themselves, then give them space in their own homes until they've died of natural causes. What else did they think was going to happen with them? The NYC Depts. of Health and Animal Control exterminate thousands of animals every year, but this kind is worth a protest?

"Unnatural causes." And nothing to brag about at the VFW Hall.

nice thing about shooting a cat with a .30-06 is that you don't have to gut them later.

Posters at the article site mention the probability that the cats will be replaced by rats and pigeons, both filthy species that carry a number of diseases that can be transmitted to humans.

Broad-spectrum poison baits.  If you make that area toxic enough, ain't NOTHING gonna be able to live there.

This would just bring out a different group of protesters with “ Save The Vermin” signs.

Simple answer, leave small baggies like what's used for meth and coke in the path of the protestors with the same poison. This is NY after all.

Your definition of "broad-spectrum" clearly is not broad enough.  You lay out some hummus and some kind of bread with sundried tomatoes and basil in it, and your protester problem will take care of itself.

Too late.

Unfortunately, they've been dragging this "omniprotest" inflatable out for so many different causes, it's lost nearly all meaning.
