The comments are kinda fun.  They seem to be split about 50/50 between people who don't know it's satire and people who are riffing on the satire themselves.

"If you showed me footage of those Baptists mocking the funeral of a dead soldier, I'd have sworn up and down it was a Saturday Night Live skit that went too far."

Thanks, George, I actually didn't realize it was satire. No snark intended, I actually didn't. I don't know if that means that comedy is getting less creative or that politics has become simply unmockable.

Dude, I read all the way down to the last paragraph before the penny dropped.  That really does say a lot more about Current Events than it does about the satirist's skill.
