It's a poll, why do I have to type in a message? That's so gay.

Thinking Flash Gordon was gay is really, really gay.

...I mean, other than the theme song.

In other news, I saw one of these PSAs on the television the other day:

...you can guess what my reaction was.

Deep into Jeff? What the fuck is that? A porn movie?

What, no "Boys in the Band," "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert," "To Wong Fu, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar?" Not even "Mommie Dearest?"

Sorry, you're all wrong. The gayest is West Side Story, which in my home is known as "Fags with Knives".

I'd like to retract my vote for '300' now, please.

I've seen "300" played in a gay bar with the sound off. I've never seen "Fags with Knives" so displayed.

I'm gonna go with West Side Story as well.  My boys were laughing their asses off when I made them watch it.

Did you ever see that interview with Gore Vidal (who wrote it) and the director of Ben Hur? They were talking about how they didn't tell Charleton Heston about the fact that his character was in love with some dude, because he basically couldn't have handled it. He would have had a breakdown or something. It was hilarious.

I voted Sex in the City, but I am surprised you left out Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, that's the fucking gayest gay story ever.

In the category of gay film intended as serious drama, I nominate Cruising.  I saw this turkey 29 years ago during its theatrical release. Think of it as Hairy S&M Fags With Knives.

See, I think the gayest movie of all time has to be like, a movie not made to be gay, specifically. It just came out gay. I would say Cruising, because it's dealing with, however  insultingly, gay subject matter, to not qualify, whereas Top Gun, say, would because it was gay porn masquerading as some kind of entertainment for the masses. BUT, it's a good clip and I guess we need Orangeplus, the gaypresario, to clarify this for us.

And the best thing is that this came out when Queen was big and no one knew they were gay!

Huh. Anyone want to take credit for that before I root through code to undo it?

A homo-erotic story presented in faux-avant-garde?  Yeah, that one was a still-born piece of shit.

And, if we're talking about movies with homo-erotic sub-text, how did "The Lost Boys" not make this list?

300 is my vote. It's about as gay as they get (minus Spartacus), with more oil sloshed around than the Exxon Valdeze and nothing but beach and toga scenes. Brokeback Mountain is too obvious.

How about Y Tu Mama Tambien?
