I recently switched from smoking bongs to a portable vaporizer and just don't really enjoy it.

The hits tend to be minimal. I do feel the effects (not sure if less intense or not) but to me, it's just not satisfying as lighting and ripping from a bong.

I switched because of health reasons but I will be a smoker again soon unless vaping becomes more satisfying

Anyone else agrees smoking is more fun than vaping?

Silent Cal Coolidge started out as mayor of Northampton and it's still a goofy fucking place, miles in any direction from nowhere and expensive.

Vaping is different yo! Yo have to reign in your expectations. Bongs are all about huge rips and big clouds vaping is different. If you're not feeling the effects from vaping you're probably not doing that right either. watch a few videos -  tons of info on google / youtube :

- Grinding your herbs means plenty surface area that can be exposed to heat.

- Fill your oven, but not too tight

- Sip don't rip - it's not a bong

- It is important to give the chamber, filters and mouthpiece a quick wipe after every use.
Info

Keep playing it round. Your lungs of the future thank you... (he says whilst ripping on a bong)

Haven't met a cat yet that didn't enjoy it, or make a nuisance of themselves when someone lit up.

Meh, that's Canada with their weak dollar and their GST and HST.

The American sticker shock for oldsters like me who haven't bought pot since the early '80's is that you could get an ounce of California's finest sensimilla for around $120 an ounce from a non-friend dealer.  A little cheaper if they knew you.

Such differentials seem about par for the course goven the size the black market was everywhere and the entrenched gray market that existed in California since medical was legalized 20 years ago.

Normalized legalization at the federal level might make a difference. At least till the consolidation into corporate monopolies is compeleted. The oversupply on the west coast has driven legal wholesale there down to  lows about 500 lb for the finest hand crafted hi test.

But when, probably not if, consolidation occurs once interstate and international commerce occurs the price may go up. And pricing could look like the Wholefoods model  for the organic craft grown and yeast vat grown extracts for the rest of the you unwashed masses.

Buy local may not be enough to help but it will probably keep some small independent growers in the market.

Unsubstantiated statistics.

My favorite sort of trend monitoring.  For example:  Personally I have halved my alcohol consumption since Massachusetts legalized Pot, on the other hand my pot consumption has remained steady (0% per annum), ergo legalized pot has a downward effect on alcohol sales.

The figures never lie but liars can figure.  I remain on the side of tax and regulate, it's far better than black market pot and less offensive to me than Government Gambling (lottery/scratchers/etc.)

Here is the first mass planting of a CBD variety along the eastern seashore. Goes on for a mile or two. It can be seen from space. Sod co converted their turf production to low THC John Deere green. The first 60 feet are a throw away cover crop to buffer from the public street. Seed Corn maybe? It seemed a bit late to put this in, but if late September is the harvest maybe not. Plus the weather has been wet and they just got through the permitting process.

Never thought the day even for this would come to the East.

Always give it a go.  It is a worthy exercise, and bless their hearts.

My wife has been going through the cancer routine for the last 10 months (she has been declared cancer free, at last.)  I have to state a couple of things.

1. She had cancer, I got her RSO and dosed her like crazy. The tumor fell away and she was declared cancer free.
2. She had to have a radical biopsy, which at first seemed okay, and then crazy, crazy elements of pain for 2 weeks. Finally convinced her to use CBD's.  In 2 days, the pain went away.

I came to Ganga back in the mid 1960's before the huge rush, yeah, I am that old.  I had no idea that it would be as beneficial as it has turned out to be.

Seeing this picture gives me hope of sorts, even if it is capitalist bastards doing it.

Hope sprouts eternal. All on its own if left to grow as it has done for millennium before the bastards capitalized it.

Don't worry, the business of cannabis and it's derivatives may now may be led by the evil leading the stupid, but into the mix are a few people who do not suck. Right down the street from that field of green are the warehouses of folks who got the first permits and are doing upstanding work in their field. Even if their fields are not as giant as Sod Co.

Glad to hear your loved one is getting along better. Small wonders.

Soon it will only be illegal to possess a seed, and all sterile females will be owned by Monsanto, illegal to possess those strains at all without a license. Like corn is today.

I appreciate the Dionysian spirit, especially on St Patricks day, one of the few holidays in America where you used to be expected to be drunk in public... before noon; but rookie move. What, have these old folks never been to a dead concert to see how mass dosing is done with discretion.

COVID is hitting everyone hard. My Mom just paid $300 for a half! Ironically, prices are going down around here because the dispensaries have excess capacity and a lot of it sneaks out the back door.

True.

Our local dispensary allows only a handful of jonsing patrons past its backdoor peep-hole at a time and firmly enforces parking restrictions.  "Where'd you park?" Mr Clipboard asked last Saturday, as I looked at the bicycle between my legs. Two person security detail.

Driver's licenses scanned going in and leaving. Cramped showroom was once pantry and kitchen of an 1820s waterfront home I played in as kid. The rest probably looks like a pill factory.

I won't visit again if I can help it. Sixty five bucks for 3 grams of weed in an "Heirloom Collective" frosted, 6 oz glass jar with a THC emblazoned "child proof cap". Too stoned to unscrew it? Too bad! All this goes into an obligatory black designer paper satchel, can't leave the store without it.

I hung mine on a friend's backdoor nob, empty of course, so he'd wonder which of his asshole friends would do such a thing.

Portland.  It varies.  When I come to town I see the  adverts, as I don't frequent stores that want my ID. (Better to grow your own). Oregon is swimming in the stuff.
