Fortunately no! I haven’t adopted a mixed race mongoloid crack baby with AIDS* with my present or any of my prior partners.
*Usually these are the only babies gay people are allowed to adopt, and according to the Christian Fundamentalists they would be better off in some overcrowded foster home where they wouldn’t be exposed to the “Gay Agenda” whatever that is.

Why adopt? It's far easier to pickup some hopeless young hitchhiker, chain her up to the basement wall and use the ol' turkey baster.

Who says you have to be the one to adopt? You let your partner adopt so when the relationship goes south you can duck behind society's anti-gay laws to keep from being stuck with child support.

Gay parents do not create gay children. Since they either adopt or accept some other form of impregnation, the child given to their care is tabula rasa. The worst they could possibly do is fill it with an innate sense of interior design. Won't change their sexual orientation, won't interfere with their growth or desire as a sexual being once they hit puberty or attain adolescence. Multiple studies have been done, with significant samples. If nothing else, the social phenomenon demanded scientific inquiry and it has been done.
Ironically, it is one of the few better studied/reported behaviors among the GLBTQ community than nearly anything else. Though there are a number of non-reproductive behaviors that I'd personally prefer to have been empirically discussed, this is one that stands rather firm.
