In California we do have equality before the law, you can marry anyone you like as long as they are of the opposite sex.

And the reality is that there are zero differences between marriage and domestic partnership, this is about the ability to force their their will on others.  If it was about equality we would reverse the discrimination against polygamy also; but no - only fudge packers are being repressed.  What about the mormons and the muslims you fucking fascist bastards??
