Some years ago, I was contemplating on the idea of "civil unions" as an alternative to "marriage" to perhaps accommodate those relationships the Xtian Fascists hate so much in a way that might still allow survivorship benefits and such.

Then a little voice spoke up inside my head and it said "Separate but equal", and since then, it must be, for me anyway, marriage for gays and everyone, because anything else is bigotry.

Both of the men in that video appear to me to be closeted homosexuals.  Otherwise they wouldn't be that interested in gay relationships and what gay people do together.  If a gay person showed as much interest in the ins and outs of heterosexual relations as these men appear to have in gay relationships, I would wonder when they were going to come out as heterosexual.  And how is spirituality connected with homophobia; do they get spiritual brownie points for each act of homophobia or expression of hatred?

Fnordie, you're just blind to the clear analogy between gay marriage and 9/11 that he sees so clearly.   Perhaps you just need to wear Lenses of ApocalypseTM.

I note that you managed to work in the expressions "ins and outs" and "brownie points" into a single paragraph on the topic.  Kudos!

Maybe we could combine Gay Marriage with the New Victorian concepts of prudery that the heteros have to deal with and force gays to marry. If you want to sleep together, you have to be married. Period. That would put them on the path to being just as fucked up in the head as most straights.
