Sorry, I got lost in the comments section. Do we even teach English in schools anymore?

I watched the video and it certainly appears to have been made from nitrocellulose and oil soaked rags. That thing raged.

It was made of plastic foam and fiberglass over a steel frame, which is all that remained early Tuesday...

Lawrence Bishop, a former horse trader, said in 2004 he was trying to help people, not impress them, with the statue. He said his wife proposed the Jesus figure as a beacon of hope and salvation, and they spent about $250,000 to finance it.

PT Barnum was right.

Bishop said the statue will be rebuilt.  "It will be back, but this time we are going to try for something fireproof," she said.

Thereby preventing Gawd, that vindictive SOB, from smiting it again.

I think it's finally becoming obvious:

God Hates Jesus.

I mean, think about it.

In His former glory.  (Note also the fishers of men.)

I hope the city uses the permit process to prevent them from rebuilding that eyesore.

It's not in a city, and that's probably why. It's just outside Cincinnati, about 10 miles north of where I grew up.

I really can't be bothered....seen one supposed savior you've seen them all.

Fact is Tom Cruise pretty much sealed the deal for me.
