Amusingly enough the Anarchists' made the scene, raw footage shows grafitti such as:
Say no to jobs, say yes to looting
Tonight Oakland is my amusement park
and many other amusing yet obviously non-hood statements.
One radio talk host put it this way; the riot consisted of equal parts:
1. Gang-bangers
2. Travelling anarchists
3. Opportunistic looters
4. True protesters (who were very well behaved)
5. Curious on-lookers
As of current reporting, most looting occured in:
1. Shoe stores
2. Beauty salons (hair extensions were the primary target)
3. Sporting good stores
4. Electronics stores
5. Liquor stores
(but the shoe/sporting goods stores were hit the hardest)
