A friend was telling me that Perez Hilton makes regular mock of YouTubers and MySpace-Cadets, but that one of his recent "projects" was some Asian/Native American chick who wears a retainer and babbles on about her imaginary boyfriend. First, he points out the girl's vids, then she goes on some quasi-homophobic rant, and he finally excoriates her on his own site. So, he's basically plucking strangers out of obscurity to lift them up, just so he can smack them down again.
I'm sure High Streeters can get behind that sort of practice, but what was this? A slow celeb newsweek? More fallout from the writers' strike? Is it the new "thing" to go from LaLa Land muckraker to backstabbing tastemaker overnight?

That was absolutely delightful! What a truly inspiring bit of African-American Culture. I have been so enriched by this wonderful exposure to something other than the dull dying white culture into which I was born.
