There was one old Looney Tunes cartoon that I've never been able to find, but used to be one of my favorites when I was a little kid and didn't have any idea of why it would be controversial.  In it a hunter brings a cannibal boy with a bone in his hair back  to the US from Africa.  Every time the guy would turn his back the boy would eat someone in one big gulp and what looked like bobby pins would fly off his head as he chomped.  I can't even seem to find a reference to it, and I'm wondering if the only reason why I've seen it is because I was watching cartoons in South America.  Sometimes we got some strange things down there.

It's 1935 and the black parent is watching from the main orchestra seating, not up in the balcony. Some would have considered that scandalously progressive.
