Hey now, c'mon, there has to be some sacrifice and some balance at the airport! If little girls has to be felt up and traumatized just so rich fat fucks can feel a little bit more secure, then so be it!

Maybe if the kid wasn't a complete spoiled brat it would have been different, but then again seeing the douche that she has for a father I'm not surprised.

I suspect this child has been told about “bad touch” by her parents, and is making it clear she doesn’t want a stranger touching her private area.  I don’t think the child is being a brat; she’s reacting to something she’s been taught is wrong.

You are a liberal fudge-packee with zero experience raising children; that kid is a brat - watch  her mothers body language.

Gotta agree with Emmeran on this one; that kid is just throwing a typical tantrum.  My sister used to be the same way at that age.  They took away her teddy bear, and so she's going to make everyone pay by being as loud and uncooperative as possible.  She'll grow out of it, but it's gotta be a pain for the parents.

I seem to remember this was SOP for any child travelling: CRANKY.

Usually at the beginning of the trip they are very excited; of course when daddy is a douche of that magnitude the kid is probably constantly cranky.

On the other hand, I've not decided where I stand on the TSA stuff yet - although they did anounce today that they will no longer pat down children younger than 12.

One of the things we all hate about flying is how helpless you are, basically one asshole with a can opener can bring the plane down if he knows what he's doing.  Fucks like that Tyner guy need to be locked up.

Basically we are all free to not fly, so I don't feel like it's overly unreasonable to keep security tight.

To be honest, I think I'll opt for a pat down instead of the scan.

Well it could be worse, you could be cast a leading actor in some TSA official's security theater passion play.

Isn't it all just farce. Isn't Schneider right that the only thing that has been effective at airports is beefing up cockpit doors and passengers who are now aware that they can not sit idle in a hijacking?

Every now and then the mask comes off.

Nah, profiling works if done correctly - just ask El Al.   Unfortunately profiling, which is a basic human defensive mechanism, is frowned upon up to being illegal in our politically correct world.

Asshole who calls himself "flyingfish" tells how awful it is for the screeners to have to deal with the pissed off public.

Normally I think people who hassle store clerks, receptionists, waiters, and other low level employees are assholes, but in this case I think it's completely justified.  These people are engaging in criminal behavior and violating the 4th amendment rights of the people they molest.  "I'm just doing my job" is not a defense for engaging in illegal activities.

Even worse is having to try and feel inside the flab rolls of obese passengers and we seem to get a lot of obese passengers!”

One of the first things I thought about when I heard the new rules; 60% of americans are obese.

I had a hefty friend that used to carry a Kel-Tec .380 under her enormous pendulous boobs. Braless, she carried it there all of the time and it wasn't going anywhere, firmly anchored to her sweaty flesh. With millimeter wave xrays it would be completely invisible.

So, in recap: The flying public hates it. The screeners hate it. It's ineffective. But the TSA would never want to loose face, so it will be here forever. They will probably "discover" that they have to put you through both the magnometer and the xray, then the organic explosive sniffer, then end up getting patted down anyway. As long as the machines are sufficiently technologically exciting to TSA purchasers and the drama level is high, they will keep spending your money on buying them.

My favorite quote:

“Do people know what a Nazi is? One can’t describe me as a Nazi because I am following a security procedure...

Do they have any idea how ironic that statement is? "Ve ver just following de orders..."

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want - and deserve to get it,  good and hard.

It a;; seems that we sell ourselves off so cheap to so few.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington … obby_N.htm

L-3 Communications, which has sold $39.7 million worth of the machines to the federal government, spent $4.3 million trying to influence Congress and federal agencies during the first nine months of this year, up from $2.1 million in 2005, lobbying data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics show. ...

Rapiscan Systems, meanwhile, has spent $271,500 on lobbying so far this year, compared with $80,000 five years earlier.

H.L. Mencken was one of the few wise men to ever live on this planet.  Another straight shooter was Lysander Spooner and I highly reccomend his book No Treason: The Constituition of No Authority. http://jim.com/treason.htm

How could you ever doubt us?

The documents that I have reviewed thus far either have NO AUTHOR CREDITS or are NOT authored by anyone with either a Ph.D. or a M.D., raising serious concerns of the extent of the expertise of the individuals and organizations evaluating these machines.
