This reminds me (and I am sure you are too young to remember) the BS from the right wing about John Kennedy being a catholic. "He'll get his marching orders from the pope!" "The Vatican will run the White House!"...
Just remember. Fruitcakes. The packaging may change but it's the same old shit again and again.
Fear Based.

I'm old enough to remember the "marching orders from the pope" propaganda. I also remember the day he was shot, and saw Oswald murdered on live TeeVee.
Edit: My facebook profile photo was taken last month. Don't let that picture fool you, I'm far older than I appear to be.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Food for thought. Food for thought.
Regardless how this all turns out, I contend that every candidate for president should be prepared to show proof of eligibility should that person win. Otherwise, why have eligibility requirements at all.

Given my view that any modern president is just a puppet, I don't really care where Obama was born. However, for those who believe he's the carefully chosen and groomed puppet of a sinister long term communist plot, such a group wouldn't choose a puppet with the obvious flaw of non-citizenship. Since all previous presidents have been been White males, and all but one were of Protestant background, the logical choice of a puppet to groom would be a White male from a Protestant family.

Why not have them show the proof when they file their papers to run. You know, so the fakers could be excluded BEFORE the election...
Telling someone who won "oh, sorry, you're not eligible now" is retarded.
But to the task at hand, if Obama had changed his name to John Ignatious Michaels and lightened his skin a bit, nobody would be complaining now.

At filing would work even better. I don't agree about the race issue. John McCain was asked the same questions when he ran because he was not born in the US, but his dad was on military duty, so he qualified.

Everyone thank your stars for the requirement for being a natural born citizen to be president. Otherwise Kissinger would have been a contender and that's too scary to even think about.

My skin still crawls when I think about the push to change that when Arnie became governor.
