Well, she hit him in the back first. But he should have at least pulled her to the curb, it's not nice to inconvenience the motorists.

Because it's a female, I doubt she has that much strength; it looked more like a shove before he came after her.  And she's his mother!  Unless she had come after him with a weapon, he has no excuse for knocking her out and leaving her in the middle of the street to possibly be run over by an inattentive or drunk driver!  Kneegrows have no problem with stabbing, shooting, beating, burning, robbing, or raping anybody else, but it's pretty much unheard of for a buck kneegrow to hurt its own mother, and it's considered a major transgression by other kneegrows to do so.
