That's what life is like on the trading desks. If you are making money, they don't care if you are cornholing sheep right there in your cubicle. But start to lose and they change your title to "executive vice president in charge of being the scapegoat". It's the only way they can explain it to their other customers. "Oh no, we won't lose YOUR money, that guy was just a rogue..." is the company line.
