That is his right as an American. One of the unalienable rights. The foundation of our country.

I wouldn't have wore the fucking thing either.

He probably did not have on the minimum amount of flair needed to properly express himself.

Hardcore religious freaks are usually a pain in the ass to work with, in extreme cases their actions result in a hostile workplace.  I have no doubt the company was looking for any excuse to get rid of him.

Solidarity? Surely you jest! He had no problem at all wearing the label for 665 days, and would have worn them for another 1000 if he still had a job. That alone puts him into the 'Fool' column. He also voluntarily went to work for some asshole who likes to make his employees wear stickers, that firmly entrenches him there. Then, he allowed religious psychopathic sheepherders leaders to sow his mind with irrational fears to the point that "he grew nervous in early 2009 as the number of accident-free days crept into the 600s." He also didn't have the balls to injure himself and reset the label numbers back to zero. Faking a sprained ankle would have done the trick and earned him a day off with pay as well. Finally, he moved into the Idiot category by not bothering to actually read the Bible and discover that you have to have the Mark branded onto your forehead and right hand for it to be valid. Even a quick look at Wikipedia would have sown some doubt in his little pea brain and saved his job. I stand by my word, he's an idiot.

Wait, I thought you were pro-union.

A union shop in Georgia? Stranger things have happened. Anyway I never said he shouldn't get his job back, I said he was an idiot.

Odd, I was taught that 666 is a mistranslation and the real number is 616 ... the fool had already been damned for 50 days ....

Let's leave the safety efforts out of it; getting stupid people to not be stupid requires great effort - part of which is providing daily reminders, regardless of how inane, to remind them of the risks they are taking.
