They are supposedly a tour company but it stinks to high heaven and there are some resourceful and bored folks on here, so I thought I'd toss it out there.
Yes I googled and saw the 30 pages of blogspot.com results, I pulled the whois and found that they are registered to a random suburban development in S. Carolina. I also found a trace back to a random row house in the Bronx.
Thing is I'm supposed to deliver a check for $3k to them on Monday cuz the X fell through on the deal and the whole thing seems so shady I am really reluctant to do so.

Don't pay by check. Pay by credit card, no more than 60 days before they are supposed to deliver...whatever. If they won't accept that deal, tell them to suck it.

Group tour companies are always within the top 5 in Better Business Bureau top-scumbags list. Many exist just to collect "deposits" and then evaporate.

I wouldn't give them a check, I'd pay by CC and I agree, if they won't take that, tell them to suck it.
Did you look them up on the BB? Or look for reviews of the company?
