Funny you bring that up now. I did the Norman Rockwellian chop-down-an-xMas-tree two weeks ago (as opposed to getting a parking-lot tree) with the family, and ended up getting poison ivy. Nothing like having itchy dry skin during the dry winter. I'm at work scratchiing my arm like I'm a freekin' junkie!

Here's my very experienced advice on how to deal with the itching. Use a hair blowdryer on it. It feels like you're scratching without doing any damage (unless you get carried away and cook your skin). Afterward, the itching goes away for hours. Enjoy.

I had a friend in Junior High who was playing in some tide pools that had Poison Oak growing next to them. He was covered in Poinson Oak from the waist down.
