A lot of us crazy fuckers on here love to swing our dicks around and act like we know what we're talking about in the political arena, so with election day fast approaching I have a challenge for you fucks.

Put some proof in that pudding, post your fucking ballots.

Not just federal mind you but state, local and public initiatives as well; tell the truth for once.

(yes I know this is early but we have to take mail-in ballots into consideration)

I don't want to say what county I live in, but I will say this: I live in a state in which voting laws have changed so much that I have no fucking idea if I'll be able to vote or not.

Proud to say that due to laziness, indifference and philosophical reasons I have never voted for anyone or anything.

I'm more of a small "L" libertarian that rejects politics and democracy.  I agree with some of what Ron Paul stands for and think that he's philosophically and morally heads above Obama and Romney.  I still would not vote for him because doing so would be my attempt at imposing my system of beliefs on everyone else.  The word "libertarian" has pretty much come to mean "Republican that smokes weed" and I'm about as far from Republican as it comes.  I consider myself a non-voting voluntaryist and I have no problem whatsoever with people wanting to live as communist, socialist or individualist, as long as they don't use force or threat of force to make me live the same way.  Politics is nothing more than force, forcing a person to live a certain way within a certain geographical area, forcing a person to give up their hard earned resources and forcing a person to live as others see fit.  Democracy and voting is just a way that one group of people can gang up on another group of people to take their resources, freedoms and self identity.  So no, I will not vote for anyone no matter how much I feel they represent me.  Politics and religion are the same thing, one humans want to control other humans around them.  It's pure bullshit.  I hate politics and consider a vote for any Libertarian candidate just as bad as a vote for any other party from fascist to communist.

Phreddy voted weeks ago.  No surprise on my presidential vote, but California has a whole slew of initiatives, on some of which I went against the standard conservative view.  Our local and regional representatives are almost all conservatives.  In some cases we have two conservatives trying to out conservative one another.

My national prediction is this:  Romney wins handily and the Dems cry foul.  They try to claim the minority vote was suppressed and this is what threw the election.  I mean, how could all those cooked polls be wrong?

Obama/Biden
Tim Kaine - Senate
Kristen Cabral - House

No on both referenda to amend state constitution (nothing very interesting here)
For the bond issues.

I now cast another vote, against Phreddy's prediction.  Republicans blame mother nature, ACORN, Colin Powell, Chris Christie, and the failure to put up a sufficiently stupid candidate.

Republican poll watchers are being physically thrown out of the polls all over the city of Philadelphia, and the Black Panthers are 'guarding' the polls in certain areas as well.  In one polling place the voting booths are directly in front of a full-wall sized Obama mural.

And NONE of this is on CNN.  I just searched their site... nothing.

But we do have a nice article about how Obama's grandmother wished him well and another about how Springsteen energized Obama's final spirit.

Colour me shocked.

You are a piece of work.

There never has been any significant evidence of the voter fraud you seem so upset about.  Just give it a rest and don't get all eroticized by Drudge.

The offending poster has been on that wall for years, and it is now covered up.

The Black Panthers?  Are you really that worried about them?

It all sounds like the regular outbursts by the flatulent right.

There aren't a lot of civil rights more important than the sanctity of our votes.  Voter intimidation, election fraud, voting when not qualified, or voting more than once should be met with serious prison sentences.  The argument that fraud in elections is insignificant is a poor reason for not pursuing the violators.  We need to make some serious examples; especially of those who organize and promote these crimes.

Spare us the sanctimony.

No one is saying fraud should be ignored.  However, the kind of fraud that is addressed by the recent wave of voter id laws has been virtually nonexistent in federal elections, despite all of the sound and fury.  It is a highly inflated issue and has been for many years.  The only substantial charges pending that I know of are against republican operatives in Virginia, but I might be wrong.  Even those cases would not be prevented by the voter id laws.  They mostly involved getting people to fill out registration forms and then throwing the completed forms en masse in a dumpster.

I haven't heard either of you comment that the multi-hour lines in Florida (this year) or in Ohio (last time around) impinges on the right to vote.

Fraud only came up in whosas' second post.  The first only talked about murals, black panthers and poll watchers.  In any case, I never said ignore fraud.  I said ignore the noise.  It will come from all sides.

On voter ID laws, I took two elderly people to the polls today.  Neither has driven a car or boarded a plane in years.  Neither has a driver's license, passport or other form of photo ID.  Fortunately, Virginia's new law allows a way around the problem, so they were able to vote.

If you are going to get all jazzed up about the possibility that there are fraudulent voters out there, I just wish you showed some concern about obstacles to voting.  It makes it look like what really interests the proponents of such laws is suppression of votes.

I voted for the Democrats' mulatto Affirmative Action figurehead.  The job of President is too complicated for one person to handle, so in reality you’re voting for the head of an entire team to run the country.  The mulatto has a good team around him doing the actual work of running the country.  It’s said this mulatto’s IQ is in the triple digits, which is mind-blowingly high* for a kneegrow.

The Republicans are running a dangerous sociopath as the head of their team.  His team consists of sociopaths, dangerous ideologues, corporate tools, and religious nutjobs.  The fact that the Republicans are unable to come up with a reputable Caucasian, backed by a team of decent Whites who actually care about the long-term future of the American People, shows how far the party has degenerated in recent years.  Their current ideas of governance tend towards micromanaging the population via a system of Theocratic Industrial Feudalism, and/or bleeding the population for maximum short-term corporate profits.

*The average IQ for an American Kneegrow is estimated as being between 78 and 85; different studies have come up with slightly different numbers, but they all agree that the typical kneegrow is just barely above the level of a retard.  At one time retardation was defined as possessing an IQ of 80 or less, but was defined downward to 70 to avoid having to admit that over half of the kneegrow population is retarded or on the border of what is considered retarded.  Even by the newer definition, a very high percentage of kneegrows are retarded or just above the borderline for being defined as retarded.

My point precisely.  They are mundane compared to your obligation to vote.  You have the right to vote, but there are certain qualifications, such as being a citizen and being restricted to a single vote each election.  If we are to have qualifications, then we must have some method of checking qualifications.  Otherwise, we have electoral chaos.

Yes yes make examples of them. More noise less substance.

Anti-voter fraud group barred for possible fraud

Of course there are some treasonous members who just wander off the reservation and pollute the ears of the flock with their doubts.

Steve Schmidt, a former senior strategist to Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) 2008 presidential campaign, admitted that widespread voter fraud doesn’t exist in the United States and claimed that the GOP-backed voter ID laws are based on “mythology.”

Ah, yes, like the Great Voter Heist of 1938 or that incident in 1972 when thousands of illegal residents swamped the polls with their votes - oh, wait. Those incidents never happened.

Thanks Ranger.  I'll remember that tonight when I'm getting some, and see if it fits in anywhere in my repertoire.

I'm sure your vibrator won't mind, but I hope your walls are thick enough to keep the neighbors from having to listen to this!

But seriously, Daddy banned me from Drudge because I had a way of upsetting the Trainables and giving them the runs!

Luckily the vibrator's been put away for awhile in trade for a real live human(tm).

So Daddy bans people a lot I guess?  I don't know I haven't been to Drudge in years...

Wonder what ole Dad is up to these days anyhow.

He also seems to be suffering from some kind of chin buildup:

My point precisely.  They are mundane compared to your obligation to vote.  You have the right to vote, but there are certain qualifications, such as being a citizen and being restricted to a single vote each election.  If we are to have qualifications, then we must have some method of checking qualifications.  Otherwise, we have electoral chaos.

Ah, yes, like the Great Voter Heist of 1938 or that incident in 1972 when thousands of illegal residents swamped the polls with their votes - oh, wait. Those incidents never happened.

Then I suppose you wouldn't mind if I send in my Republican friends to vote in place of the 1.8 million dead people currently on the voter roles?

It's temporarily hidden with the dead bodies in the basement.

You forgot the calls for armed insurrection.

I voted week before last.  Early voting, bitches.

I ain't telling y'all shit about who I voted for.  (Like you can't guess.)

Okay, okay, I voted for 'Bama/Biden and Castro for Congress; for the rest of the buggers I voted Libertarian.  Except for Tax Collector; I voted for the Dem.  I just don't think a Libertarian should even be running for Tax Collector.
