When you consider just how idiotic your typical Brit gets around booze, you wonder how they aren't ALL dead.

Like you know this as a fact, correct?

Obviously you've not been to England for that great drinking holiday which us North Americans quaintly call "Christmas".

There is little difference in the drinking habits in various parts of the US and the UK. If you are referring to the Laddettes and the Lads, this is not a widespread phenomena, but fairly localized.
Most of the Brits that I do know handle their alcohol much better than their US counterparts drink for drink.
Most of my relatives don't drink, especially the Scottish contingent, who on the main are tea jennies.

None of my English relatives would consider drinking anything containing liquid nitrogen, they're all quite jolly when they've been drinking, and they hold their booze better than the average American.

You people do know that blood alcohol content doesn't discriminate, right?

I can only assume you either know nothing of Britain, or that while in Jolly Olde you hang out with brainless twats. Neither excuses the parochialism of your pronouncement. Worse (says I, working towards full-sanctimony), equating that (poor) young woman's experience with whatever gratuitous clips you've seen of drunken chavs, yobbos and soccer hooligans on FAUX and YouBoob is about 90° shy of apposite. Shame on you, you uncouth hillbilly, why don't you go back to sodomizing marmots and leave the culture pages to the professionals.

Or the Chinese - I love how the booze makes them change color.

Wow, lot of Anglophiles lurking around here.
I have been to Britain many times, probably around 9 months if you added it all up. Brits can sure hold their booze better than most Americans. That doesn't mean that they don't take to it as a full fledged hobby. But then again, I say the same thing about Texans, and I'm sure plenty of them are (currently) teetotalers.
Ill just shut my mouth and let the evidence stand.

Had you been around here in 2008 and been a part of this thread you would have known that.

Somehow I never participated in that thread, but I used to live in Mells, Somerset, UK. So happens to be the same town where Little Jack Horner is buried. (yeah, he was real) And I think it's no secret that I collect British cars.
