I'm going through some kind of camp movie mid-life crisis, and I'm dragging you all with me.  I present for your horrified entertainment, the 1988 classic, They Live, by John Carpenter.  The dialogue is specatcularly bad, the acting is singularly terrible, and it stars that one freaky actress with the weird eyes.

I loved the wonderful paranoid premise of this movie, and hated how they squandered it on Rowdy Roddy Piper.

If you're a fan of cheesetastic camp, you must not miss this (recent) one:

I must wholeheartedly agree.  I got it on HD-DVD as my first purchase (King Kong came with the player).  Awesome, and not what anybody's expecting when they sit down to watch it.

One line always sticks out:  "That bitch is hardcore."  No matter how many times I see it, that line makes me laugh my ass off.

"Wow--if I wasn't about to shit my pants, I'd be fascinated."

My own copy has been misplaced in the most recent move.  It pisses me off that I can't find it.  It cost me all of about $5.97 at the Wal-Mart, but I hate to buy another copy because as soon as I do, the original will turn up.

I don't know if this one is up your alley, but it has a place of honor in my DVD collection as one of the most craptacular works of cinema ever committed to a magnetic medium:

I linked to the cast list because the females are a roll-call of late-60s pulchritude (they are mostly brief cameos).  Best experienced with a hookah handy.  I nearly puked from laughing.

Not bad but there is only ONE Greatest Fight Scene of All Time:

On a slightly related topic, guess what Horse went as for Halloween last year:

Actually, as I watched the fight scene from "They Live" I was wondering if it had been an influence on the Peter Griffin vs. Chicken fights.

I wouldn't watch "Family Guy" if I were paid by the blink.  However, Parker & Stone have gone on record stating that their utterly awesome "Cripple Fight" scene from "South Park" is a direct homage to THE Greatest Fight Scene Of All Time.

Wow, I was skeptical until I watched the ad.  I was assuming the word was scrolling past in the background or something.
