I am of the opinion that the EU should have let Cyprus go under just like we should have let the banks here that failed in their policies go under after the bubble burst. If nothing else it would teach those remaining banks what it means to be responsible. It may have delayed the recovery, but what happened is worse. Because now these huge banks feel they will be saved the next time around. This is what happens when you try to put a blanket over a group of nations and get them to work together.
We let Enron sink and they were, at the time, one of the biggest corporations in the world. It didn't seem to have much affect on the economy overall. It is time to stop coddling the banks and corporations and let the chips fall where they may.
And really, what would be the world affect of a Cyprus failure. When is the last time you bought anything that had "Made in Cyprus" stamped on it. They certainly are not a world economic powerhouse.

Reinstate Glass-Steagall and require commodities traders to have the ability to take physical delivery; doesn't fix everything but returns a bit of sanity to the situation. De-regulation was a very bad idea.

Spoken like a true conservative.
It's amazing how many people support republican policies until they find out they are supported by republicans.

Until you can prove you aren't a sock puppet troll your posts will be passed over unless someone can find a redeeming issue to enjoy in them (which appear to be few and far between).
For example I merely responded to the "Boobs" thread troll to brag about the progress on Melon's ring; please have some manners and stop spamming the board, I'd hate to miss Dirckman's next Car Thread post.

I don't see how any government agency expects to confiscate bank deposits more than one time. That will completely wipe out any remaining confidence in banks as secure deposits for wealth. And now, New Zealand is considering the same stupid tactic.

In my eyes this only reinforces the criminality of deregulation and bank bailouts, these fuckers are short-sheeting us every night and the geo-politicians are actively encouraging it. Isn't Bastille day approaching soon?

Or, you could take "Obamacare" which was a Republican idea from the start, and watch how the Republicans vilified it because it was promoted by a Democrat. And you wonder why Obama has dropped the non-partisan gloves?

You could also take the Assault Weapon Ban which was supported by RR as another example - the right-wing conservatives seem to have declared the world flat again and are attempting to jump off the edge.

Jesus man, get his half-nigger dick out of your mouth. You're already winning the cock sucking contest. No need to deep throat.

You sure have that all-or-nothing mentality. Reagan also granted many amnesties for illegal immigrants so we should all support those right? I know you're joking because you can't possibly be this stupid.
