I just can't begin to understand that situation, this was a misdemeanor violation and traffic at that spot is 5 miles an hour at best. Worst part is that she's 50 years old, she's just probably going through "the change" and they could have solved the situation with a bit of chocolate and some tea.

I guess the po-po are buying the dialog about how scary black rifles are.  At least the safeties on an M4 are harder to accidentally disengage than on the sidearms most po-po tote these days.

Artist Mateo Romero was cleaning dog poop out of the back of his SUV in a stranger's driveway...

Around here, it wouldn't be the cop that shot him.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, I don't see the cops getting the blame for this one.

Three bank robbery suspects led police on an hour-long chase through Northern California on Wednesday, spraying patrol cruisers with bullets and shooting at least two of the three hostages they took.

They haven't determined who shot who yet, as Pat Garrett would have told us - time is on the lawman's side.  Forcing the situation simply drives the body count up.

As close to the real reason as you will find in a "news" outlet. Under new FAA regulations that also closes the airspace to drones (non-military ones only of course) flying under the 1000 foot ceiling, which were previously not classified as "aircraft" but now are, and therefore subject to flight closures.

Interesting, considering the vast number of agencies that require their officers to carry off duty.

Of course, because an off-duty police officer is still a police officer.  A rule/law that I find incredibly offensive.  An off-duty cop can stagger out of a bar at closing time and get into a gunfight with a "perp".

A) It's Compton

B) fucking idiot reporter. Don't they know if I own it, then it is called an assault rifle. If a cop owns it, it is called a patrol rifle.  Duh.

It was bound to happen, you mix Cops!, Omaha, AirSoft and Wendy's and you get an extremely potent combination.

OK, so I didn't realize AirSoft had muzzle flashes and sounded just like a 9mm:  http://www.omaha.com/news/crime/chief-i … b2370.html

If they do we should put them out of business but from what I recall they do not so....

The World-Herald has learned that at least 30 shots were fired at the Wendy’s near 43rd and Dodge Streets. Officials said it appears the only shots fired came from police.

I use a gas operated airsoft 1911 for competition training in my basement.  By law, they all have a dayglo orange band around the muzzle to aid in identifying them as "non-guns".  Removing of that band is a serious no-no and will almost certainly result in jail time.  Now my particular gas operated muzzle report could be mistaken for a suppressed 9mm, but that is it.  A point - all gas operated airsoft replicas use propane as the propellant.  There are also assholes that like to wire in piezo ignition modules to their muzzles to make the propane create a brief flame.

The problem is, most of the gas operated replicas that actually look like real guns are kinda pricey.  Like you wouldn't need to be robbing a Wendy's pricey.

Combine this with the fact that the FBI's recent domestic threat assessment doesn't even mention Islamic Jihadists as a domestic threat and you are left with the conclusion that those MRAPs are here to control unruly US citizens.

We've known skewed income distribution creates civil unrest since we started building cities but we've learned a thing or two since about demonizing phantom enemies to justify it. Scratch that, we've haven't learned anything.

We have a fairly wide-spread anti-government sentiment festering just below the surface up here in the real Northern California.  Lots of talk about putting up a fight when the feds show up to steal freedoms.  I tell them that when an MRAP pulls up in your driveway, you're just fucked.

Here's an outrage from 2012, but I didn't read about it at the time.  It's no surprise that the same fat-headed mongoloids who have destroyed our public education system are running Homeland Security screening.

About a decade or so ago it seemed to me that I had awoken from a fairly normal existence to find myself in a type of twilight zone densely populated by malevolent, immature retards.  Of course, I now realize that it was always like that and I had simply failed to recognize the fact.

The wonderfully-named Officer Darrell Beavers coerces a landlord into providing an apartment for free as a "police substation" that he uses for fucking a 17 year old girl.

Once Beavers, 45, had the apartment, it was adorned with an official Cincinnati Police logo as well as beds, bedding, personal lubricants, pornographic videos and a police-owned night-vision camera to record events that were happening in the dark.

What's an appropriate punishment?  A year in jail and retirement with a full pension, apparently.

The new regulations in DC can't take affect until 2019, because they've already budgeted the money? Even though the current regulations don't allow them to budget civil forfeiture money in advance? It seems a smart guy could point this out to them and get the reforms underway now. It would be great if the reforms took hold and began spreading around the nation.

That's the new police procedure, Ms. Liberal Crybaby. Kicking their teeth out and shooting them once for mumbling just isn't efficient use of police in the post 9/11 world. Now you have to tase them repeatedly and then shoot them twice in the back for having no motor control. If you're not sure the perp has bled out before the meat wagon arrives a few minutes of brisk CPR will save you a whole lot of paperwork.
