While the AK-47 is a cheap alternative, keep in mind that the available supply, in the United States, of ammunition is much less than that for the M-16/AR-15 platform.

Unfortunately, the only freedom most of our political class seems to care about is the freedom to control others. Not convinced? Here's a case in point.
The pair claim that simply having the option to access copay-free birth control through Wieland's state-provided insurance plan violates their Catholic faith............. “This is a moral conundrum for me. Do I just cancel the coverage and put my family at risk? I don’t believe in what the government is doing.”

Stick to weapons that use .223 ammo. It's cheap and plentiful. It's even easy to make your own loads.
