Don't eat Pacific Ocean seafood for the rest of your lives.  It's clear contamination will be an issue for centuries.  The situation is so poorly managed and is so fucked up it may even be necessary to evacuate the Japanese from their homeland!

Ahh who gives a fuck, we all have to die eventually anyway.  Besides the contaminates will eventually spread to all of the seven seas, it's not like they aren't connected.  You may as well just eat the shit, your beef/poultry/pork is being fed GM corn and your veggies are all "Round-Up" ready.

You can't even trust the shit out of your backyard garden any longer...

I'm more concerned with the farmed seafood coming from the orient.  The fish are basically raised on sewage.  Yes, it's labeled farmed at the market, but restaurants don't give a damn what they serve you.

I recommend sticking with fermented food types.  After all fermenting does remove some of the contaminants and structurally changes the source food at a minor level; if nothing else you can go out happy...

I could drink beer every night for dinner, but a week or two of bagoong and kimchi may drive me back to the farmed salmon.

It's everywhere you look and can rarely see. The rat short-circuit's a nice touch but only assigns blame for epic ineptitude. After modest freelance success 30 years ago, I went all-in on a story titled, "Toxic Waste, Site Unseen." No one wanted to hear that shit and I went bust. True, my story only had two legged rats.

I was looking for Thai fish sauce last month and mistakenly picked up a bottle of the Philippine stuff.  I hadn't realized there was anything more pungent than the Thai stuff I'm used to.
