That's what I read here. Your mileage may vary.

Major media publisher admits it is 'afraid of Google'

I'm sure he is, but he's spinning it to hide his own incompetence. Google isn't "evil" for doing the job better than the print advertisers, but they are stealing his lunch, so he's mad.

It's like if the Mob takes over your garbage company. They may put burning tires around the necks of a few naysayers, but they probably do the job better than it was ever done before.

Internet ad revenue is stagnating/slipping.  My uninformed opinion is that people are sick of it.

I love Adblock Plus. Since beginning to use it, I rarely see an advertisement of any kind. That makes me happy.

What is amusing here is that those who decry when a government snoops on them gladly post every little detail about themselves online via "social" networks, use "free" services from M$, Google, etc.

Oh, and a big fat +1 for Adblock Plus.  When I see other people browsing without it I want to spork my eyes out of my skull.

First the Germans, now the French.

Note, the old wheeze, "Buy an Irishman a horse, he'll vote Tory," still holds.

Dodging taxes is the national sport of France. They won't respect you if you don't at least try.
