Shaved goods is the problem.  It's *never* fully shaved, so there's always stubble.  And stubble is rough, and certainly not feminine.  And there's enough stubble on that puss to give me cheek-rash for a week.

I disagree. Late 40's would have a heavier heel.  Thin heels started in the mid 1950's.

In 1955, tall "stiletto" heels for women's shoes, invented in Italy, become a fashion rage.

Further, the phonograph in the background is definitely *not* 1940's vintage.  As a phonograph collector I can tell you that virtually all the phonographs made in the 1940's had rounded-edged wooden cabinets.  I suspect this is a mid-50's Crosley.

Dusty, the record player simply is *not* a 1940's model.  Here, for example, is a 1959 Murphy A316G - a player in nearly exactly the same style as the one in the picture... how could such a thing have existed in the early 1950's?

33 1/3 record albums came in use around 1947-1948.  Really.
