So did I but began to question its bona fides moments after posting. Bogus, ineptly shopped. Note the lower middle part of the image.

I know most of y'all despise sports and often college sports in particular. Offered here for comparison is Jack Gangwish. Forget the noise and hoopla, take a look at the smile on that kid's face and consider that he knows his sports career comes to an end when he graduates this year.

Not I. College and Pro Football are part of my life from August until January. Feburary, if you include the Super-Duper Bowl.
I love those mid-week college games ESPN broadcasts early in the season. I've seen games played in a monsoon-like downpour.

The Pro leagues are "take it or leave it" in my book. I was born in Husker land and that's pretty much all that mattered to me until I got to play Rugby. This poster says all that really needs to be said and boys definitely need to play sports; many of them.
Also: The Gangwish article. Nicely enough, his dad was a walk-on also.

The poster's art nicely matches this somewhat angry T-shirt I saw in Walmart. Same pissed off model I suppose.

My favorite word in any language as kid was déjame, spanish for "leave me the fuck alone."
This is almost as good.

I've trolled image dumps for years in search of decent scans of J. M. Flagg's original 1917 Uncle Sam recruiting poster. Considerably restored, here's the best I got.

Builders in a Galician village confused a neolithic tomb with a broken stone picnic table and replaced the 6,000-year-old artifact with a brand spanking new concrete bench.
