That would be much better with just the building framed in the window.
Pic unrelated.

Ok, the last one's Brown, not Flagg. But, it led me to https://americangallery.wordpress.com/ . I could spend weeks in there.
This one by Grace Slick, for example.

It was timely for me personally as well. I am in the process of trying to reshape and reprioritize my own life, while keeping life as stable as possible for my family. It is definitely a difficult balancing act.

Well, I have this time been sefl employed about 15 years. Love the work, but want to concentrate more on the art and publishing side. It's a leap, but I am in the process. Good luck!

Grace Slick talking about her art once said, I am a visual artist and get to do art now, that's great and all. Being an artist is also about providing a service people want. And if people want me to paint white rabbits in trees, God dammit I am going to paint white rabbits in trees.
Which was pretty funny considering I was staying at friend's house with a big oil painting of her white rabbit in a California oak tree. Will post the pic when I find it.

Because of a priority project, most of my time for the last two fucking months, yeehaw!!! has involved compiling and interpreting complex subsurface geology. It's going to take another month to finish, no matter what management thinks. I am an old man, and can retire at any time. But, I am holding off retirement to complete this. Can you say "Hog Heaven"?
It will be my magnum opus. May any and all of you get to do something similar with whatever it is you do well.

Well, I'm not sure it's a "magnum opus" but I retired (for the second time) two years ago and now I'm teaching youth full time (although I've done it as a volunteer for over 20 years). I'm having the fucking time of my life. I teach high school STEM classes - engineering, robotics, architecture, 3D design & printing, automotive engineering, etc. and it's so much fun working with these kids. I use project-based learning, peer evaluation and a lot of different teaching strategies so it feels very 'fresh' for the students... they seem to like it... I went from having only 12 students in the STEM program last year to 32 this year. I know it's not very High-Street, but frankly I think the best way to change the world it to change the children. That's why I've also been a Boy Scout leader for nearly 28 years.

Snap Freeze leaf drop - backyard Black Walnut. Dropped from °30 to ~°15 between 7am and 8am this morning. Went from full green to bare without bothering to change color. Also dropped about 250lbs of walnuts. It was fucking raining walnuts.
The leaves didn't fall singly, all of this years new twigs died and fell right off with all leaves attached. Pretty amazing to watch.
