Thor is about to become a woman in the new comic book series.

Apparently the trend of achieving gender equality by giving women manly traits has yet to ebb, it seems that the original Thor is too white and too male to please the new lords at Disney/Marvel.
Oddly enough women have been defeating men for eons but not by trying to best men at the male games rather by choosing a playing field of their own making, I find this to be insulting to both genders.

In addition to being a War Goddess, Freyja has lots of sex! I think this is awesome, but for a large part of the American public, showing this would be problematic. It would be OK to show her killing thousands at once in the most gruesome manner possible, but the moral watchdogs would freak out over showing or even implying a parade of gods, elves, frost giants, dwarves, and even mortals have had hot sex with her.
