Poor guys at Heaven666 are going through the same thing we went through when Cruel shut down. The owner up and changed the name to idleevening.com and banned porn today. Another great site down in flames. I will miss it terribly. Supposedly StrayCrayons.com will be their High-Street in the future. Times, they are a changin'

New calvin ball rule. Next dillhole reporting a stellar, pope squat worthy site turned to shit before we got to see it gets hung by their smallest appendage.

Reading the posts, the guy started the website in his early 20's. He now feels guilty  that he has a family and he's mid thirthy's. There are some comparisons with Cruel where he freaked out from the monster he created. He wants to clean it up and all of the regulars are freaking out. Roger handled it better than this guy because he totally went Jesus on these guys within 24 hours. The posts are awesome.

They are forming a new site ala high street. The difference is we understood the problem and respected it. These guys are freaking out on their main guy. I"m glad we didn't attack Cade like that. That being saId, High Street is slowly dying from no new blood.  I guess we need to get back to our roots if we want this party to continue.

You're right and I'm all ears, open to any suggestion short of equine encephalitis, for which there is no known cure.

The one interesting idea of I've heard recently is untraceable 'burner' user accounts.

We could always try being nice to people and posting lots of cute kitten pictures.

Well, I personally bypass 90% of all of the topics here because they are old man topics about the "government." Hey, glad you guys have your beliefs but that's not banjos entertainment on a Friday night. Fuck politics on this site. It's boring and old mannish. At least scare Georgie with a spider pic or something.

This site created the "Bonsai Kitty" craze.  Can we talk about something besides Ann Coulter?

Hey, Run a recruitment campaign.
With that said FB is sucking the soul out of everything it seems.

The mailing list I am on are all about to dry up.

Awright, conventional word warfare has failed, and anti-party elements are as shrill, boring and/or futile as conventional rubbish, as for instance...

Bonzi Kitty style kamikazes sound like the only answer.

Untraceable user accounts, really, might be a draw in these paranoid times.  The question then arises:  what type of user is attracted by an untraceable user acct?  Will we be inundated by gun nuts?  Tinfoil utilizers?  Stormfront types?
(Fuck me--I thought I was pointing out the downside, and instead I've just about talked myself into liking this idea.)

Any change to bring in new blood would be, well, change.  That would likely irritate the Old Guard.  Not to mention most of the influx will consist of idiots.
On the other hand, 1) the Old Guard is kind of flaking away one flake at a time, so whaddayagonnado; and 2) idiots can be a LOT of fun to play with if you play them properly.

If Cruel.com were alive today, it would probably be called an "aggregate" site. I know nearly nothing about the business side of websites; but it seems obvious that a successful aggregate takes more than a little work, and constant tending (as in several times a day at least).  Think back to Cruel.com...Who is willing to scour the Web on a daily basis and make editorial decisions about the content?  And then write some snappy lead-in comments a la Rogers C.?
I wouldn't mind doing at least part of it if I didn't have this damn full-time job that I can't leave (unless someone wants to take over the car & mortgage payments, that is).

With notably lame exceptions, aggregators have shot their wad.

'Too much money chasing too few goods'?

No, but maybe half right. No one's yet committed to equitable pay for compelling content, period. Talent will have to unionize before that changes. Anything worth doing is worth doing for money, right? Fuck if I know.

Jeez, guys, it's easy.  All that's needed is a High Street app.

Do you really think Apple will allow that on its pristine and virginal apps list?

No but Google Play will and, frankly, to hell with any of you losers who have iGotFucked products from Apple anyway.

Yeah, I'm generally a fan of Apple products but the iPhone is a shuck and always has been.
