It feels like every time I hear NPR report the unemployment rate, it's immediately followed with the disclaimer that the underemployed and those who have stopped looking for work aren't counted. This guy's categorical statements don't add much to his credibility.

Maybe NPR mentions it, but not NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, et al. The great morass of average citizens are held clueless as the oligarchy requires.

True, NPR has played that oboe coda since the 80s and I'm sure its aging hippy demographic appreciated it, between pledge drives. NPR somehow nurtured a few extraordinary talents among its boatload of insufferable twats but their numbers have never mattered, all things considered.
