Well, given the latest administration I'm not sure that's true anymore.

Isn't that what his entire campaign is about? He's getting publicity and setting the tone, I seriously doubt that dude would put up with all the shit that goes with being president.
Yeah, you know, I know it sounds crazy, but I actually think the sonofabitch is gonna bow out in the end. I think his goal is to fire up the Republican Party, push a few buttons, set the agenda for the campaign, make a name for himself and then sit back and play the 'king maker'... then I think he's gonna bow out with some lame excuse and let the poor sap that's left try to win.
He had a long, private, conversation with Bill Clinton before he started campaigning. I think he's trying to torpedo the GOP. Trump is much more liberal than he's been playing for the religious right, etc.

The Dems are trying to run the same old shit out there while ignoring Bernie. The Repubs are running around like a Baptist Convention trying to elect a new President.

Do love them chest thumpin' macho politicians.
There are several salient points in this article that apply to this statement:

Curious though, in the Marines, do they teach that the best way to survive a near ambush is to charge the attacker? For the Army, this is (or was in my time) SOP for line infantry, Ranger & SF training.

Cover, return fire, evaluate and counter-attack. Don't get sucked into a full ambush by a skirmisher line. Most importantly don't trust those Blue Team Indicators - fucking complete crap; seriously IFF for ground troops? Do you have any idea how many of those have been compromised or are just plain buggy?

Hey, did you guys know that, according to the wording of the Constitution, the Speaker of the House doesn't have to be a member of the House?
I did not know that!

There’s not even anything in there that says it has to be an American citizen. Or alive. What if they elect Jesus?
OK - I could actually see that happening.

It's nowhere near rock bottom. I'm actually looking forward to the spectacle of the Vice President running the country while the President is locked up in rehab.
EDIT: But THIS is a little closer.

Ouroboros with the Snake's Ass Eating the Head
This Post report is great. It details the extent to which party-fueled media pandering and shit-stirring have gotten far beyond the grasp of the GOP establishment, and perhaps even that of its conservative factions.

Canada elected a snow boarder 5 days ago, Guatemala elected a right wing "comedian" yesterday, Brazil's next.
Can you pin the tail on the elephant, or the donkey, and predict when this race officially runs amok?
We all know it will.

I'ma pin down August 15, 2016.
By then, the two parties will have picked their nominees, we'll know who the prospective veeps are, and the four contenders left will be about 90% insane from all they've been through for the past 2+ years. I'm hoping for blood, and/or extremely compromising video.

I'm not so sure, what with the way the Republicans are trying so desperately to lose. It seems to me that they want to remain in their strong bastion of opposition in Congress, throwing shit-balls at the Democratic President and tantrums since they don't seem to know how to do anything else anymore. A Republican President would put them under severe pressure to pass laws and do a little honest work, and since their new mantra has become Shutting Down The Government that just won't do.
I'm betting on a photograph of Hillary fucking a pig so badly photoshopped even Gramma can see the lines and with the Republican contender's actual fingerprints clearly visible by September 17th.

I have it on good authority that Aliens will invade earth and do everybody a huge favor by destroying every national capitol on the face of the earth next Halloween, 10/31/2016.
Followed immediately after, by wiping out every television news source on the planet. (There are some ongoing discussions regarding saving the BBC news)

No, that's the reboot, although you can also use "shutdown -y -i6 -g0" or even just "reboot".

At this point I seriously hope he's the nominee, because I wanna see the debates with him and Hills.
