Tired of which; tired of Trump, or of the various ways in which people react to Trump, and attempt to cope with the insanity of life under his Administration?
I get tired of both, but more so the man himself. But I can (and do) easily ignore any posts I don't want to read. Frankly, I'm amused by JetRx's pro-Trump posts. They are the only counterpoint on the one subject where agreement is otherwise almost universal. The twenty five people who view Trump the same way I do aren't very interesting.
Forums are a dying communication channel since younger generations adapted to different forms of social media. That's why most of the forums that remain are now populated by old farts like me; we got started on them years ago, and just continued with what we knew and were comfortable with. I think anything which increases posting, viewership, participation and...even conflict...works against the entropy which is gradually making forums obsolete.
So I would always make the choice which encourages ANY form of engagement over anything which restricts it. That's my take.

RANT: The fuzzy logic of tariff's as taxes on the non-rich. Tariffs are simply fees collected by the government on imported materials & products. Increasing tariff's increase government income but also increase the end price of goods, somebody has to pay that fee and it's almost always the end consumer.
Ford isn't going to continue to eat $B losses and neither will Honda, those fees will be passed on to the consumers (who most definitely not the ultra-rich).

Been saying that since day one. Tariffs are a massive tax increase on the middle class. Layoffs will begin when the retaliation tariffs make it impossible to sell goods overseas. Nothing getting produced or harvested because 45 got rid of many of the laborers. We'll see if we have the worst Xmas buying season since 2008 but, alas, too late for the mid-term elections.

That's cute, but most cargo still moves in and out by ship not airplane. Besides, the United States is one of the largest consumer nations in the world, a trade imbalance is not necessarily a bad thing. And, when it comes to trade, a strong dollar is not necessarily a good thing.
Why does 45 bully everybody except the manufacturers who moved their factories and plants overseas? In fact, why is he trying to destroy America's economy? A secret Russian agent? Either he's criminally liable or he's criminally negligent.

Currently the US is the largest consumer market but not by much and we will shortly be eclipsed by each of these: China, India, the EU, Brazil and Indonesia (unless the rising seas eliminate Indonesia). Trump is still living in the '80's and not able to keep up with the changing times.
Our only current advantage is that we have already suffered the worst of the "Automation Revolution" while China, India, Brazil & Indonesia are about to go through it. (The EU is still recovering from the Cold War).
Now that the service industries are automating we could be in for a wild ride...

Polishing up someone else efforts from a decade gone by does not count as an accomplishment. Just because I cut down a tree that was left too close to the house when it was first built does not suddenly mean I built that house.

The alarm bells went off at the White House after the chief of staff, John Kelly, reviewed Sayoc’s feed, which is riddled with right-wing conspiracy theories and paranoid attacks on George Soros, and thought that some of the tweets “looked kind of familiar,” an aide to Kelly confirmed.
After spotting the similarities, Kelly enlisted Kellyanne Conway, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Jared Kushner to comb through Trump’s Twitter feed and ascertain whether he had in fact retweeted any of the bombing suspect’s unhinged ravings.
As of late Friday afternoon, the team of staffers had not yet identified any retweets of the alleged pipe bomber by Trump, but cautioned that their work was “far from over,” a White House source said.
“We still have to go through Don, Jr., and Eric’s feeds and make sure they didn’t retweet any of Sayoc’s stuff,” the source said. “We’re all holding our breath right now.”

He will do this until the election is over to distract from the increasingly gloomy coverage on the outlook for Republican candidates. Hopefully, we've seen this stunt pulled often enough that we are learning to resist the bait.

We knew it was always going to end up this way. Enough stable genius financial decisions have finally torpedoed the stock market. A massive selloff is currently underway and retirement funds have been seeing steady declines since the first of the year. I guess 45's masters will have to invest in marijuana distribution.
