Some stories practically write themselves, the details simple and clear. This investigation, spurred by a reader’s tip, was no such story. In collaboration with reporter Bethania Palma and operations staffers Vinny Green and Chris Reilly, lead reporter Alex Kasprak spent weeks untangling the reality behind a group of entities posing as newspapers in key battleground states going into the 2020 election. Even if you’re jaded by the torrent of daily headlines, including Russian meddling in U.S. election processes, you will want to spend some time with this story. Please let us know what you think and what more you want to know.

Snopes started out good then turned into utter and complete malware shit heaven and now is re-emerging as a legitimate (if not the ultimate) fact checking investigative source.

Pretty amazing recreation.

I've spent a lot of time on YouTube, which in the best of times has always been a cluster fuck, investigating and managing news sources for their legitimacy. I'm amazing how many "Political Action News" type submissions are just ripping off the original post from CNN or whoever, and running it under their banner.  The second tier is the political commentary sites with people sitting in their own "studios" who show small clips from legitimate news channels and then talk about it.  I don't mind a contrary opinion to mine, but come with supporting facts or don't come at all.

On a side note, if after all the events of the first Trump term in office he is somehow re-elected, then the Marching Morons really have taken over and I'm going to join the gang who are monetizing these people's fears and superstitions.  I stopped writing thirty years ago and I'm going give them exactly what they want.  For a very nominal fee, of course.

Yup, the answer is "Take the money and get a non-extraditional" passport.  Let's be honest, all of the poor "Freedom" patriots were summarily hung until the rich guys got involved in 1775.

I don't hate Trump because he's a Republican or a Conservative, I don't hate Republicans or Conservatives.  I hate Trump because he's a crook, and the majority of voters in America agree with me.

Not only is he a crook he's living in a bygone era.  Fighting with states and manufacturers on auto emmissions all the while blissfully unaware that the manufacturers are going to keep meeting EU, Japan, and now China's stringent standards regardless.  Which happen to be much the same as CA's.

That fight is over Donny-boy and the tech advancements from this vehicle evolution will drive our economy for decades.

And that Aristotle said, "You are what you repeatedly do."

I think the Trump Crime family goes down in the SDNY courtroom.  I wouldn't be surprised if they file RICO on them before it's all over.  They've (not necessarily the SDNY) abused the stated purpose of RICO before when it suited them.

Trump is the deep state personified as corruptocrat.

Russia was not the issue, just useful diversion.

WASHINGTON—In an attempt to satisfy calls for transparency while also keeping delicate information under wraps, Attorney General William Barr announced Thursday that he had released a catatonic Robert Mueller after excising all sensitive material from the special counsel’s brain. “With the cuts we’ve made to his prefrontal cortex and hippocampus, we can now make Robert Mueller available to both Congress and the American people,” said Barr, who explained that in the four weeks since the special counsel’s investigation ended, the Justice Department had gone to great lengths to capture, confine, and forcibly lobotomize Mueller, ensuring any material deemed unsuitable for the public would remain secret. “In order to keep the details of grand jury testimony and ongoing investigations confidential, we carefully blacked out his memory of the past two years before releasing him. Unfortunately, it would appear this safety precaution has also resulted in Mr. Mueller forgetting how to speak, walk, and feed himself.” At press time, sources confirmed the drooling, glassy-eyed special counsel was set to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, whose members were trying to get him to respond to his name so they could swear him in.

The FBI under Comey gets a lot of the blame for fucking up the original investigation.  Had DJT handled this with any of the adroitness he used to display a few decades ago, or simple done nothing, he would have skated away.  45's own Saturday Night Massacre set the hounds on his trail and Mueller is a professional.  Trump fired the one man that probably wouldn't have found anything of substance.  He and his cadre of sycophants, who initiated Crossfire Hurricane, looked down their noses at people like Trump because they were more concerned with career advancement.  They never though he had a shot to win the Presidency.

As for the legacy of James Comey; there are four ongoing investigations that will seek to explain why a collection of falsehoods, including pee tapes and meetings in Prague that never occurred, were eagerly accepted as fact.  And we now await the pending inspector general report, the Senate investigation, the attorney general’s review of bureau actions, and Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber’s investigation into Crossfire Hurricane misconduct.

Giving his Orangeness the win for firing Comey and for picturing the FBI as a bunch of promoted-before-their time, panicked senior executives who made poor decisions in promoting a shoddily prepared, political opposition-financed, wholly unverified piece of garbage known as "the dossier" to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Court. (No, he doesn't or can't use those words now but his lawyers will)

Mueller's next job may very well be investigating how the Steel Dossier was put together and why.
