...it's that as we anticipation and prepare for the next four years, we should all make sure we know how to spell "mediocre ",

A review of 'The Worst Restaurant In America':

I get the feeling that every table could come with midget whores underneath and that review wouldn't be positive.

Donald Trump is “a poor person’s idea of a rich person,” Fran Lebowitz recently observed at The Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit

That review is a rich person's idea of a poor person's idea of a rich person. This. Is. Amurica!

Ah, the delicious tears of the "elite".

Snark? Did you say snark?

The same thought occurred to me, of course, but I posted it regardless. I don't like anything about Donald Trump. Does that come across?

I've not liked most things about most of the last 10 presidents, but that doesn't mean that I go out of my way to dig up unrelated things to whitewash them with. Blaming Trump for the quality of the pork chop at an eatery seems like they are just looking for ways to combine "Trump" and "bad" in the same sentence. Or maybe the Limousine Libs in NYC actually thing that Trump is out back on the hot line in the kitchen checking the sear on the chops, the same way that they think Wolfgang Puck made the salad they got at the airport?

All I know is this: The restaurant must make money. If it didn't, it would get closed and replaced with something that does. That's about as much input as someone like Trump (seventeen times removed) really cares about the quality of the food in any place with his name over the door.

This is just the Left's version of drawing Obama to look like a monkey.

I'm actually enjoying that quite a bit, I think the Trump Empire might be his birthergate.  So much fucking fun...

Well, now I think you've taken it too far. I'm sure his restaurant really does suck. Is it irrelevant to his performance as president? Almost certainly. But to associate Trump with tasteless, pseudo luxurious mass market crud for the undiscerning is neither unfair nor inaccurate.

You could eat there if you wanted; I would give it a pass. Just as I would pass on "Trump Ties", "Trump Steaks", "Trump Towers, "Trump Casinos", and "The Apprentice" (which I can honestly say I've never seen, not even once, nor have I wished to see). I'm not part of Trump's target audience, and before you even ask, you're damn right I'm an elitist.

Almost everyone here is currently an elitist or at least strives to be:  Welcome to the Real America.

Of course, And what's more; they SHOULD BE.

Smart is better than dumb; knowledgeable is better than ignorant, and we're better off, in almost all circumstances, by having the most capable people in charge of things.

The war against elites and elitism is just another phony issue to distract the disadvantaged (of whom there are many) away from the real causes of their distress. Similar to pointing at Mexican immigrants and claiming that "they're stealing your birthright", when most have nothing more than the clothes on their backs.

Not me, I'm a pragmatist.  I think that everybody, except me, is an asshole.

I stole that from Dennis Miller.  Fuck him, I bought his two books.

Dismissing The Donny as white trash is easy because he works so hard at it. Move over GW.

Fair point; he's making it work for himself. He's laughing all the way to the bank. Or should I say...to the White House. He knows his audience, and they know him.

[Insert thunderous applause here]

The definition of elite is "the choice or best of anything considered collectively."  I don't know when or how the word got co-opted to somehow be considered an insult--a bad thing.

It's like "SJW" as an insult.  What kind of shitbird thinks social justice is a bad thing?
