Somebody got cellphone footage of a cougar wandering around the front yards of a suburban Portland neighborhood a couple weeks back back (at least 200 pounds by the sight of him) and it was all over the evening news so I had that on my mind. Let's just say you surprised me.

I know. That is, I presume you mean Bigcat (one word, no second capitalization), who is on a short hiatus. He and I participated on the thread about beautiful asses, as well as other conversations.

The TallPaul bit is new to me, and almost certainly refers to things which preceded me visiting here. To the best of my knowledge, TallPaul has not posted since I've been hanging around.

I don't hate TallPaul. I just like to fuck with him. I also am indifferent towards campers as long as they keep away from me. Most hunters are fucktard assholes and I enjoy a good article about them getting killed.

JetRx is a hunter and I like him so that seems like personal growth on my part, huh?

CatDawg, you are correct in your assessment of many hunters...at least a majority I've crossed paths with.

No reverence for wild places, fair chase, or the animals they've harvested.  Truth be told, I've likely dispatched my last critter.
Though, not averse helping others with the "real work"  - in exchange for a share of the harvest including what many often leave for ravens & wolves.

Will spend the annual 25 day hunt watching:

-  Beavers readying their lodges & dams for winter (hours of enjoyment).
-  Grizzly sows teaching their cubs to forage.
- The sun & moon rising and setting.
- The stars - sans light pollution.

In addition to:

-  Being dressed down by irate porcupines and ground squirrels.
-  Realizing how numb modern living makes our senses and what helpless, defenseless fucks humans would be without modern tools/conveniences.
-  Putting Fish & Game on every poacher and illegal kill I witness!

Chalk it up to my inner Buddhist...or personal growth.

I love to hunt too. But the older I get, sometimes I think I'm just addicted to my climbing stand. If I had a tall pine tree in my back yard I would aim my wifi antenna at it's upper branches and go hide up there all day. Something about getting the squirrels viewpoint for a while that I just love.

I have never seen this and sorely wish to, it's about time for me to be getting all woodsy again.

I'm also trying to get a couple of pieces of state legislation started:

1. Give free Fishing/Hunting licenses & classes to any on government assistance.
2. Remove the NRA or any lobbyist from the firearm licensing process.
